Established in 2017
All communities, estates, villages and towns have designated spots where the local youth gather to pass time, socialize or hold barazaas. These are known as bases and these bases have a loosely defined membership and codes of conduct for the local youth who congregate there ranging from who is allowed to join, what activity is allowed and who has the last word. This is where we derive the name Base Yetu…our base.
Base Yetu’s social rehabilitation and economic empowerment program is focused on the creation of opportunities for the youth as well as social programs such as providing disability cover and business capital through membership drives and lottery systems.

Base Yetu Member Benefits
Members Card
Every Member will receive a members card and member’s number which will be used to access discounts with select businesses and outlets.
Tournaments
All Base Yetu Members will be eligible for free entry into *select Base Yetu Sports tournaments including pool, football, volleyball etc
Promotions and prizes
All Base Yetu Members will be eligible to participate in periodic promotions and prize awards organized by Base Yetu and our partners.
Inua Hustle
Base Yetu Members will be eligible for capital financing of their MSME business following vetting and application as individual, chama or group enterprise
Funeral Announcements
Base Yetu will provide free funeral announcement in a local daily and vernacular radio for Base Yetu Members
Group Personal Accident Cover
Individual
With the Base Yetu Individual membership, you can be covered for as little as Ksh 1000 per year. To join, dial *693# and select Base Yetu Individual or activate by paying Ksh 1000 via M-PESA Paybill 7009067 and use your phone number as the Account number .
Jamii
With the Base Yetu Jamii membership, you can cover up to five people at a low cost of Ksh 5000 per year. To join, dial *693# and select Base Yetu Jamii or activate by paying Ksh 5000 through M-PESA Paybill 7009067 and use your phone number as the account number. You will be asked to provide the National ID and phone numbers for the people you have chosen to include.
Chamaa
Base Yetu Chamaa membership enables you cover 12 members of your chamaa for Ksh 10000 a year. To join, dial *693#, select Base Yetu Chamaa and provide the names and phone number for the 12 members you would like to include. You can also activate by paying Ksh 10000 through M-PESA Paybill 7009067 and use your phone number as the account number.
Diaspora
Base Yetu Diaspora membership allows you to cover your loved ones back home from the diaspora. To join, go to link and follow the instructions. You will be asked to provide the ID and phone numbers of the people you have chosen to include.
